The LIFE Force
We are naturally organized as energy sensitive beings. Throughout the ages, many artists have attempted to record their experiences of The Life Force's energetic signatures. In some works of art this intent and effort is more evident than in others. We have come to understand that ancient ways of knowing and modern notions of how the universe works have more in common with one another than previously believed or understood. Through ancient civilizations to modern day practices, healing has been initiated using sounds, colors, and forms. Vandorn Hinnant's discoveries echo what ancient and contemporary healers attest to. The vibrational signatures of sound and color, for example, relate to our body's energy centers or vortexes (chakras), which long have figured into Western and Eastern esoteric traditions. Visually exposed to art which echoes the energetic order and structure in nature, we can experience a realignment with such energies. Viewers of Hinnant's art have reported myriad benefits from exposure to his art works. A number of healing arts practitioners have selected his work for their offices for its potential in assisting with the intent of their practice. Wishing to have sustained exposure to this ambiance generated for clients, some practitioners have also secured his art for their homes. These paintings are not only portals to serenity and a sense of centeredness, but mandala meditations for transformation. Hinnant has spent his entire life searching for ways to visually express the connections he senses between the creative and the sacred, and sees his role as that of "urban shaman." He orchestrates visual elements in particular ways that have the potential to speak to the core of our human identity. His objective is to help bridge the gap between the rational and the intuitive... the breach between the mind, the heart, and the body. Sacred Geometry, also known as the Geometry of Life, is an ancient system of observation of various levels of order within the universe. It is the unifying language of form communicating the oneness in all things and is experienced as transcendent of cultures, and belief systems. Since ancient times, humans have experienced the power of Sacred Geometry's effect on their consciousness in the presence of pyramids in Egypt and Mexico, in Gothic cathedrals in Europe, and in classical structures in Greece.
Extensive research has proven that there are meaningful resonances between human beings and environmental colors, shapes, forms, and sounds imbued with specific proportional frequencies.
